Three auctions for certificates of quota eligibility for shipment to Nicaragua in 2022 under CAFTA will be held from November 15 – 19, 2021 for 1,233 MT; February 14 – 18, 2022 for 1,644 MT and May 9 - 13, 2022 for 1,234 MT. The tariff rate quota for chicken leg quarters will be allocated through an open and public auction system. CA-PEQ, Inc. will issue certificates of quota eligibility to the high bidders in the auction. Two auctions were held for shipment in 2008, one auction in 2009 and two auctions were held for shipment in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2020 and 2021. Three auctions were held in 2019. Click on Auction Results to view results of these auctions. Interested parties who want to bid on certificates that gives them the right to import duty free chicken leg quarters into Nicaragua, must submit a bid form and carefully follow all instructions contained in the bid instructions. Failure to follow the bid instructions could result in invalidation of the bid. Bid instructions may be viewed on-line or printed for review. Bids will be submitted in units of metric tons, with a minimum bid of one metric ton, and a minimum bid price of $22.04 US dollars per metric ton. Bids must be accompanied by a security deposit. In order to participate in the auction, you must submit a bid form. Please be sure to read the instructions prior to placing a bid. |
